The house was built as a boarding house in 1894 and was used for that purpose until about 1928. It was a single family home un til the 1950’2 when it was converted into four apartment units. Don bought the house in 1981and lived in it for ten years before moving to Oregon for 20 years. Now we are back in Leadville, and returning it to a single family home on the first floor, where we live, and guest apartments on the second floor. Since we have returned to Leadville we have completely redone the entire house including the entry porch, foyer, parlor, landing bathroom and the apartments on the second floor. We look forward to sharing our guest apartments as a vacation rental, and meeting travelers, skiers and athletes. Leadville has a lot to offer with the abundance of intact historic homes and endless ski, mountaineering, hiking, biking and fishing opportunities.
